    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Rahlfs is a very clear and logical instructor - there will be no arbitrary reasoning. His methodology is straightforward to the AP curriculum and he will prepare you very well to achieve the highest score possible. Participation is not a factor in your grade - test scores and homework compose the entire coursework. However, Mr. Rahlfs is very reasonable and his scoring is not meant to bring people down.

    Course highlights:

AP Government is focused on politics and how the American Government works, including legal and social factors. This class piqued my interest in American politics, and especially with latest controversies regarding politicians, the course has given me an insight upon how our government runs and how we may impact it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are interest in US Government, this class is a clear choice to take. If you are not interested in US Government, Mr. Rahlfs will try to make the content more fun or interesting. Regardless, you will not hate this class, no matter how much you may hate social studies in general.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was not the most engaging because much of the content was common knowledge, but it is one of the best ways to get a five on the AP test because Mr. Ralphs knows how to teach to the test and promote excellence.

    Course highlights:

You learn about the functioning of government and about examples of real-world politics.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Differentiate in your notes early on between what you already know and what you need to memorize before the AP exam. The class is weighted heavily towards the final, as well, so prepare to study early on for that or set aside a lot of time.
