    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to anyone looking to further understand the underpinnings of the English language. in this class we studied heavily on old literature such as, Shakespeare and Alfred Hitchcock.

    Course highlights:

Taking this course I was able to learn different forms of rhetoric and how to use them, as well as in our later units, the effect of modern media on the general public in America.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not go into this class thinking that all you're going to do is just read stories and learn how to understand them. This class requires you to have a deeply in-depth view of the way society behaved at that time in the world and what drove people to do what they did.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Gillman is an amazing teacher, he's very fun and educational, he makes the course as simple as possible. He's a rather understanding teacher, but hard when the situation calls for it.

    Course highlights:

Transcendentalism while reading "Into the Wild"; The Red Scare comparison to the Salem Witch Trials with "The Crucibles".

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get the papers done on Google Docs, so you can color code your essays. Also, try and get familiar with the MLA format, as it will be needed

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend other students to take English because, it teaches you great reading and writing skills that you will need to have in your near future.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course, was that I got to be in a class play and I played the character of Iago in shakespeare's othello. I learned that in order for me to get a good grade in that class, I needed to take responsibility for my own actions and study habits.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice that I would like to give students who want to take this course is, if you are lazy like I was, and don't turn in your work on time, you will regret it because it takes a huge toll on your grade. So, always do your best work, and turn it in on time.
