    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was ok. The material was interesting but for some reason in class it sometimes felt boring. I didn't feel especially prepared for the A.P. test. That said, some of our assignments were fun, and if you are disciplined enough to do some self-teaching this class could be very interesting for you.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were watching historical clips and learning about WW2 propaganda. It was just fascinating to look at posters, different kinds of guns, and how world wars affected different countries. I learned about groups that I've always heard of but never have taken the time to study (the Mongols, for example), and in an independent reading project, read about boy soldiers in Africa and how that issue has been aggravated.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE TEXTBOOK. Take notes, it will help you sooo much. If it helps you, sometimes watching movies or history channel segments on your own time can be a good boost (not substitute) to what you're learning.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend AP World History for many different reasons. For one, an understanding of historical events helps in later classes, especially English classes in which one reads and/or writes about the same events taught in this class. On a similar note, AP World History teaches students how to quickly and effectively write detailed essays, which is applicable in many other classes. Finally, Mr. Greene is an amazing teacher who teaches to all learning styles and is always more than willing to offer extra help and insight to students who need it.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this course were the interactive projects we completed, such as when we discussed the civilization of the Mongols through having an "in-character" debate and when we designed our own villages and observed how they would have changed during and after the Industrial Revolution. These experiences taught me how to apply myself to historical situations. During this course, I learned about each major region of the world in each major time period from the Paleolithic Era to the late 1900s.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise paying attention during when listening to Mr. Greene's lectures. The lectures are packed full of useful information that will probably be on the test. Therefore, if you take detailed notes and study them, you are more likely to do well. I always took detailed notes and did my best on the homework assignments and, as a result, I reliably performed very well on the tests.
