Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Calculus A/B seems hard for the first quarter or so then quickly becomes intuitive.

    Course highlights:

I loved discovering all the connections the field of math has. You realize how fundamental the unit circle is among other things.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and ask questions. Don;t get behind on HW and you will be completely fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking Calculus AB if you've already taken precalculus. This course is fast-paced and very interesting. Mr Killen, although he does not teach at Lakes anymore, was an amazing teacher and I loved having his class.

    Course highlights:

I was able to learn math that actually applied to real life and it made me look at things a little differently.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always keep in mind the formulas and how to use them. They are not difficult once you understand your end goal. Being able to see what you should have is always helpful in answering any problem.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Killen has now retired, but when he did teach, he knew what he was doing. The first half of each class was instruction and the second half was free to work on that nights assignment. This allowed for me to more easily grasp the material !

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was just the very productive way in which it was taught! You can expect to learn the fundamentals of calculus and actually understand them in this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would reccomend always doing the worksheets since they do not take long and are extremely beneficial!
