Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Ms. Dixon is an excellent teacher and I feel prepared to jump right into Calculus in college
Course highlights:
Ms. Dixon is tough but sympathetic and she will do anything she can to help you if you try
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure you retain your knowledge of concepts throughout the year and from Pre-Calculus
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
The course was instrumental in furthering my knowledge of math and helping me prepare for classes ahead in college. It was the logical next step in my math education (after taking Pre-Calculus the year prior) and I am happy I took it because it will not only help me in upcoming college math courses, but doing well on the exam afford me three credits I would otherwise need to take in college, which is a huge boost.
Course highlights:
I learned a lot about why I had been taking these math courses throughout high school. It really pulled all the skills I had been learning together to apply them to real world situations, which is helpful and even instrumental in doing well in a course, in my opinion. Knowing why you're doing something encourages you to really try, because you know that it isn't all just worthless, and I think this class did a great job of capturing the "why" in math.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Do the homework, of course. It might sound obvious, but if you stop doing the homework you'll fall behind and when you fall behind you start getting confused. It is especially easy to fall behind in this fast moving, complex course, so make sure to keep up with your work and the material, and always ask your teacher if you need help.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it is challenging and rewarding.
Course highlights:
So far I have learned valuable math skills such as finding limits and derivatives of graphs
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
If you are not a strong math student I do not recommend this course.
