    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class, because it gives you an understanding of how the world works and has evolved over thousands of years. This information can be applied to life today, or in following historical trends over time.

    Course highlights:

Most importantly, I frequently know the answers to questions on Jeopardy because of this class's content. A close second in importance is that, with a passing grade on the test, you may be able to receive college credit. I learned about concepts and events that people are expected to be familiar with (I know this, because I see them referenced or alluded to quite frequently). In order to be a cultured, generally knowledgeable person, this class will provide much-needed information.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take organized notes starting from the very beginning of the course. Make them nice to look at, because otherwise you won't study. Focus on the big picture, rather than nitty gritty details. You don't need to know every exact date, but you will need to understand trends and ideas that occurred and roughly when they happened.
