Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class. Mrs Viny is an absolutely amazing teacher! Everything she teaches helps to prepare you for college and really prepares you for the end of year AP test.

    Course highlights:

Mrs. Vinys teaching style is very inclusive. For an AP English class she makes the class very engaging. The students are always doing something that helps to prepare them for the AP test. She applies what she is teaching to real life modern scenarios. There is never a shortage of fun learning in her class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is not very hard itself. My best piece of advice would be to always go to class. There are alot of in class assignments to be done and when you don't go to class you miss her lessons and the in class work.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Writing is one of my hobbies. However, before this course I never realized that some of the things I used can be said a much better way. I have become a better writer, and therefore a better speaker.

    Course highlights:

Mainly English techniques. For instance, tones, themes, and how to efficiently start a paper by creating the most intriguing opening paragraph and a conclusive closing. We also looked a books and how they did with the above, and learned how to read the symbolism and hidden meanings.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study with groups. That way, they can tell you things that they saw that maybe you didn't. Also, this is a class to pay attention. Take notes and listen rather than other homework.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class teaches everything that one would need to know to succeed in writing, from poetry to essays, my AP English class has challenged me to become a better writer, and to excel more than I ever had before with these classes.

    Course highlights:

Due to this class, I have learned what professional writing is, and how to achieve that level. I have learned more about tones and how to use them to truly highlight what I want to say. How to use symbolism to avoid being a dictionary, to use imagery to captivate readers, and so much more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do what is needed, and more. Teachers are no longer expecting writing from teenagers, but from people preparing to go to college and become adults. Teachers are going to push you to try harder, but what other way is there to progress?
