Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great way to learn a large amount of information on the human body.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course was being able to see actual human organs. I learned a lot about the structures of so many different body parts.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class. Worksheets are helpful but if you don't listen to what the teacher is tell you, it will be much more difficult to try and teach yourself the material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Geissler was a wonderful teacher. She would take time out of her day and help students understand the human body.

    Course highlights:

She would make toys and go over step by step on how to understand the specific part you were trying to learn. Making note cards from the learning targets helped me a lot with getting the terms down and also memorizing parts of the body.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make note cards and learn the material right away. Don't wait until the day before the test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class if you are interested in going into the medical field or a career related to health sciences. This was my favorite class that I took probably in all of high school. This is a great class to take when you have already completed the basic sciences such as biology, chemistry, and physics. It is a unique class that is not your typical science class.

    Course highlights:

This course is all about understanding the human body. You will learn the name almost every part of the body, inside and out, how to spell it, and what it does. You learn a ton about how the anatomy and physiology of parts of the body go hand-in-hand. The highlight of this course is definitely the process of dissecting a cat throughout the year, going to see cadavers, and dissecting other various parts of the body.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When I took this class, there were a ton of notes. I would recommend making flashcards of all of the notes and study EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. It can get to be a whole lot of information, so it is good to tackle it piece-by-piece.
