    Course Overview:

    It's a fun course where you learn a lot about life sciences.

    Course highlights:

    The lab where you create glowing fluorescent protein is really interesting. We learned how to culture bacteria, how to implant them with plasmids of dna, and extract the glowing fluorescent protein they create.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Don't miss the labs and do the occasional homework you get.

    Course Overview:

    It's a fun class where you learn a lot and it isn't too difficult to pass as long as you keep up with the curriculum.

    Course highlights:

    The plankton lab where you create the glowing fluorescent protein is pretty fun. We learned how to culture bacteria and get them to create a certain protein by implanting them with plasmids of dna.

    Advice for students:

    It's not to hard as long as you keep up with the labs and occasional homework.

    Course Overview:

    We did at least one lab a week, so it's very hands on! Mrs. Russel is a great teacher! Love the class.

    Course highlights:

    I learned a lot about genetics and how genetics are used in the real world for things like medicine or investigating.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you keep your lab journal organized and label everything!!
