    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You should be very interested in Government if you are going to take the AP class. This teacher is particularly tough. This is the lowest grade I have ever received in social studies class. I have always loved history and I did well in AP US History but Government is much different and harder. I would recommend that you take the regular or honors Government class unless you really love Government. This teacher grades very hard compared to other teachers as well. This course focuses on the details of US and VA government. It was interesting to take this during an election year but it was still too tough.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was that it during a presidential election year so we could witness and apply what we were learning in class. Because it is an AP class there is a lot of extra and seemingly unnecessary work. You should take this class if you love government and love extra homework.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed you need a great love of government, a great love of reading about government, strong study skills and a love of extra homework.
