Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend anyone to take this course! I think it's highly important to be aware of what's happening on the planet that we live on and that's what Environmental Science aims to do. Most classes you'll take in high school will typically lead to you asking "When will I ever need to know this?" With Environmental Science, not only is the subject matter relatively recent, it's also relevant to what's happening in the world, and the knowledge learned in this course can easily be applied to your everyday life. Anyone that is even remotely interested in the environment, the planet, or the politics behind what makes the world tick should definitely take this course!

    Course highlights:

Some highlights from the course would definitely have to be the labs that we did throughout the year. The different labs that we did were based on what we were learning that unit and expanded on it. It allowed for a hand-on look at what we were learning rather than learning about in a book and interpreting it from there.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

DEFINITELY DO THE TEXTBOOK READINGS. If you fall behind on the textbook readings you will definitely fall behind in the class. Textbook readings are typically assigned each class and the reading will correspond to the lecture the following class, allowing you have some background information and be able to ask questions throughout the lecture about what you read.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Take this course senior year for a comparably relaxing AP class. Yes, you have to study still for a good grade, but the materials are interesting and relevant to our modern society. From my personal experience, it was a welcome and informative course about how we human have impacted the earth and how there is many issues we have to face now or regret in our future.

    Course highlights:

We learn about many things in this course including water pollution, air pollution, type of energies human can utilize, global population and hunger, etc. Group discussions were fun and eye opening as people have differing views on environmental issues. There were many labs and group projects that often allow students to work in groups.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not brush off the studying, especially for the final exam. This teacher give every student the tool to succeed in test as her main focus is for everyone to genuinely learn about the environment and become a better citizen, so as long as people study the online reviews and actually read the textbook they should be fine.
