Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Psychology is a very interesting subject because it can be found in everything we do. Learning about how we think is very usable and more involved in our daily lives than we think. This makes psychology a easier subject to learn because there is always some way of connecting the events of your day to what you've learned.

    Course highlights:

Sensor and perception is a particularly interesting unit because you will learn about how you take in the world. There are also many perception tricks and illusions that make this unit particularly entertaining.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen carefully in class. The easiest way to ace the course is to be involved and interested in the class discussions and lectures. Actively listening and taking notes of a lecture also strengthen your retention of the information taught. Get a notebook to physically write ideas and relationships that aren't obvious to you.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Would definitely recommend this course, the teacher is so sweet and she teaches her material in a very straight-forward and easy-to-understand way. It's also a low-stress AP course, so it looks good on college applications while also being a fun and easy course to take.

    Course highlights:

Most aspects of psychology are incredibly interesting in general, but the best unit in my opinion was the mental illness unit. I basically learned about a wide array of mental illnesses and what causes them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to learn a lot of vocabulary words and apply a lot of theories/concepts. Also, you can't just memorize definitions because you have to really understand the words since you'll be tested on a lot of them.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it enriches one's views on the diverse mentalities of many individuals. One can learn how to apply psychological research to their daily lives. Materials learned in this course will be useful throughout life because knowing reasoning on why you feel a certain emotion can help you direct yourself to a more stable condition.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course would have to be learning about the different mental disorders and how they impact the people in our lives. We can learn how to help these people by simply understanding what they are going through. I learned that many mental disorders such as ADHD, Bipolar disease, and OCD can connect with depression.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write and take notes thoroughly because they will be useful for class discussion. Taking notes is the basis of the class. Notes are not hard but they are not easy either, one must not slack on taking notes because they will benefit you for the AP exam later in the year.
