    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Art History was a very informative, fun, and interesting class. We went through and talked about different art time periods throughout history. we learned about over 250 pieces of art and all about the artists that created that piece.

    Course highlights:

After taking Ap Art History I am able to make connections from art to the real world in my daily life. Almost everything I learned there I hadn't learned before so it really helped me to pay close attention to everything the teacher had to teach us. My teacher prepared us well for the AP exam at the end of the year.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend reviewing a little bit every day so you are not cramming for tests. There is a lot of information that you gain from this class so it can be often hard for students to remember everything they have been taught. I would also advise not being absent for many days. It can be very hard to make up the notes and learn the information that was taught the day you were gone.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's an amazing class that helps me understand the artwork in ancient cultures and in other parts of the world. It aha helped me understand that even though every culture has a different way of expressing itself, every human has the same desires and motivations. Be aware that it is a rigorous, demanding course but so interesting.

    Course highlights:

My highlight was learning about the caves of Lascaux in France. Studying this piece in depth is what helped me feel a connection to ancient cultures. I learned to find beauty in art even when it's not something that is considered "beautiful" in my culture.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. Share your ideas and thoughts on a piece with your class, because discussion often helped me understand things better. Try to study a little bit every day instead of cramming.
