Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you pay attention during the lectures and do the reading, the class is very simple. We read many interesting poems and stories that I had never heard of, and ended up being very good. The tests and quizzes are relatively easy if you're prepared for them. There's quite a few essays to write, but if you don't procrastinate, they won't pile up and you won't have a ton of things due all at once.

    Course highlights:

I learned what British literature was and that there are endless types and selections. I was also introduced to ballads, medieval romances, and epics; all of which I have come to thoroughly enjoy. I learned about the background of a few of the stories I loved when I was younger, like King Arthur and The Knights of the Round Table.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You can get through this class fairly easy as long as you do your work. Reading the stories, or books, is essential! If you don't keep up with the work in class, the homework can get overwhelming and it'll be very difficult to pass.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Layne is a personable teacher that truly cares about not only teaching but also her students.

    Course highlights:

This is an actual college course that will prepare you for a higher education which isn't something that you can say about most classes in high school. My favorite part was writing papers about current events and reading classic American novels like, "The Great Gatsby" and "Of Mice and Men". This was probably my favorite class in high school.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work but never forget to enjoy yourself. You get what you put in so as long as you come into this class with that mindset then you will be fine.
