Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very simple and productive. This course focuses on American History staring from the early Native Americans to modern times. The teacher is thorough when discussing topics and his lectures are very informative and helpful for studying for upcoming tests. I would recommend taking this course in your junior year of high school, yet only after taking an AP course before your junior year to make the transition from an Honors course to an AP course easier.

    Course highlights:

I gained much knowledge about the American presidents and the social, economic and political aspects of each decade in American history. The highlight of this course, for me, was the Civil War era, mostly because basic background knowledge can get you through that period and it's one of the most controversial wars of American history so it's an interesting period to learn.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course requires a lot of reading and writing, as well as effort. Its not a class you can cheat your way through. The course is designed to help you pass the AP exam which is very different from a regular exam or SOL. To pass this course you will have to study and read the notes a lot in order to get even an average grade in this class. If you're going to take this class, I suggest you take it only if you plan to take the AP exam in May to receive college credit.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is heavy with information yet not overwhelming.

    Course highlights:

The best part about this class is that you get the real details of the general history of the United States. You get to examine what has made this country the nation that it is today.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to take carefully detailed notes and at least spend an hour a night studying.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course you will need to be prepared at all times. If the teachers gives out extra credit ,then take every opportunity in doing the work.
