    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though standard English 12 is a required class for seniors to graduate, I would suggest taking IB English 12. This class was difficult, full of descriptive books, long written essays, and argumentative group discussions. However, I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants a challenge! This class pushed me to think on a deeper level than I previously did. Don't let the name scare you!

    Course highlights:

IB English 12 taught me a multitude of lessons, such as how to annotate passages straight from a book and how to write well-crafted essays. In fact, before I entered IB English, I was in Pre-Bac English, where I earned A's on nearly every paper I wrote. However, on the first paper I wrote for my teacher in IB English 12, I earned a D, and I remember being devastated. The following weeks, I worked hard to fix it, and eventually, I earned a 100 on one of my papers, and I had never felt more satisfied with myself. Long story short, this course will push you to become the absolute best you can be. This course is very useful for college applications, essays, and when searching for a job.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course, you need to be determined and motivated to do well. You should always read the books assigned because the tests are hard, even when you read the book. Also, if you don't understand something or need extra help, you should definitely ask the teacher, or you'll regret it down the road. This course is very beneficial, so make sure you pay attention. Most of all, have fun!
