    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Hands down, this class is wonderful. Anyone who is able to take it should, because it is a great way to learn the language at a high level. Spanish students at Hortonville are very fortunate to have this class offered to them.

    Course highlights:

Socratic seminars are a large part of this course. My skills in interpersonal speaking have improved drastically as a result. Culture is an extremely important component as well. By comparing my culture to those of Latin America, my eyes have been opened to the world around me.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This is a college level course. That being said, don't take it if you are not somewhat serious about learning the Spanish language. But, if you are interested in furthering your skills, don't let the fact that it is high level scare you away. Apply yourself and you will be just fine. The teacher is wonderful and she will provide you with everything you need for success.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

My experiences in this class have brought me great joy as I have learned beyond my greatest potential. I was able to find my passion for learning Spanish and want to pursue this further in my college degree as well as professional career. Overall, my teacher pushed me and I am very grateful I was able to have her for a teacher and mentor for the past four years.

    Course highlights:

This year, we were able to learn about architecture in Spanish speaking countries as well as other historical information in these countries. We learned how to analyze poetry and Spanish poets. Additionally, we were able to enhance our speaking and writing skills through socratic circles and essay writing/speaking.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to other students considering this course, is if you have a love or talent in Spanish, take this course because you will not forget it. I was able to learn so much from a great teacher, and am able to pursue my knowledge in my future life.
