    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was surprisingly a very rigorous course. I was expecting an easy language arts class where I'd have to read one book and be done, but no! It definitely pushed me, and for the better.

    Course highlights:

I learned so many rhetorical devices/strategies and about a billion-jillion vocabulary words. I really think it's the only LA class I've taken that had/forced me to learn, and that's good.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you know how to manage your time. A lot of the due dates fell close together and I (a procrastinator) would get super stressed during that week. So don't procrastinate!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me how to analyze difficult text and has helped me with further college reading assignments.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the student lead discussions in this class. We had the opportunity to share our opinions and not worry about judgement from our teacher or other classmates. The class was very welcoming and it was a comfortable learning environment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course requires a lot of at home reading. You must complete the reading to discuss so be prepared to spend about an hour to an hour a half each night reading. Although the course load is quite large it is definitely a course worth taking.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She is such a great teacher and really tries to connect with her students.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to use correct grammar and how to use tone to connect with your reader

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get behind! It's hard to catch up with the rest of the class, if your all caught up the class is a breeze.
