    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Calculus AB is a course that expands your thoughts about math.

    Course highlights:

I gained the knowledge of calculus. Whether it was taking a derivative or calculating the area underneath a curve.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Review everything! Once you learn something I would write down the formula on a notecard and constantly review stuff you learned in the past. Also take practice exams to help you feel more comfortable on test day.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to those preparing to go on to higher education, especially in a field that requires math, it provided a great way for me to learn at a college level while I was still in High School.

    Course highlights:

The class was very small in size and so it was a close knit group which enhanced the learning level for me. The teacher was very helpful at helping us all understand the material and not leaving anyone behind.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to never procrastinate, everything you learn in this class will be used to build on for more complex ideas.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this course for students who struggle with math and finding new ways to look at math problems, as - often times - getting the right answer on calculus cannot always be found using one method. It is often trial and error.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about math ok this course. I enjoyed learning about logarithms and studying the real world applications for calculus such as construction, architecture, geography, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared for lots of homework and take the time to study and review on your own. The problems can be tough and the tests tougher, but studying will get you through. Develop a study/practice habit before the course. I wish I had before taking the class because I didn't have one when I started and I struggled. Make it a habit now so you can use it later.
