    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

BIOLOGY 171 requires a lot of work. Lots of readings and 2 quizzes every week. This course takes up plenty of your time. But if you put in the effort, you should receive a good grade. But if this course is not required for your major, I do not recommend taking it just because it is a lot of work.

    Course highlights:

This course offered a great introduction to the ecological and evolutionary aspect of biology. For me, the most interesting topics were cells and genetics and evolution. Learning about plants and nutrient cycles were not so intriguing to me but I know some people enjoy these topics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings! They will help tremendously with the quizzes. Also, coming to lecture already having some knowledge about the topics will help you understand the material better and put you at an advantage to do well.
