Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class changed my views on the world around me. I loved my instructor and still talk to her anytime I see her. I loved this class so much that it made me decide to change my major, and I have never been happier.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of this course for me was learning about genetics and mutations. I was extremely ill informed about how everything worked, and I ended up loving every second we spent on it in class!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Never slack the small points. Discussion credit and online quizzes can really boost your grade. Doing well also shows your professor what kind of student you are.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend these courses for any student who loves understanding the relationships between different species and how our decisions influence each other.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better understanding of how to justify trends we see between species interactions and how to infer what we might see in the next few generations if these trends continue. My favorite module for this course look at the ancestry for species and how species evolve over time. Surprisingly it increased my interest in fossil dating and the processes, such as radiometric dating that are commonly used.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The student who takes this course should be prepared to do a lot of work, especially if taking the CSP course taught by Cindee Giffen. This woman has a fabulous personality and truly takes out the time to make sure we all understand concepts thoroughly before moving on to new material.
