    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are a pre-health student, you probably cannot avoid taking an organic chemistry course. Organic chemistry at the University of Michigan can be challenging, but fun if the appropriate amount of work is put into it. It is difficult because students are expected to learn the material on their own in groups, but fun because solving organic chemistry problems is like completing puzzles. It is material students in science will see again over and over, so I would recommend taking this class seriously.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of organic chemistry. This included common reaction mechanisms, naming, etc.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Find friends wot study with early and complete the course pack sections before each exam. Attend an SLC section to receive extra help and confirmation of answers in the course pack (so you know you're doing the problems right for the exams).

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for students who have taken Chemistry 210. This course builds heavily on what you learn in Chemistry 210. It dives deeper into those basic concepts and is very helpful for any future chemistry courses/careers!

    Course highlights:

This course built on basic reactions and categories of those reactions and showed the more difficult examples. It focused on structures of molecules, 2D and 3D, and many other intriguing topics.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is very intensive, but if you put enough time into it you will get all of the benefits!
