    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Schreier is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the subject of psychology. She truly enjoys teaching and you'll learn so much from the course. The essays have detailed rubrics and the exams aren't too difficult; it's a fairly easy course, and it's also extremely interesting and fun! You won't want to skip class. You also are required to participate in 7 hours of research studies (as a subject, not a researcher) throughout the semester. (You can elect to write short essays instead if you're uncomfortable with this). They may sound tedious, but they're actually quite interesting and a good intro to the research process.

    Course highlights:

I learned everything from the beginnings of psychology to famous experiments and research to modern day psychological disorders and diagnoses. There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy learning about in this course. There's also tons of (easy) extra credit opportunities!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Going to class is the main part of succeeding in this course. Honestly, Dr. Schreier makes the class so fun that you won't want to miss it. As long as you're willing to do the weekly readings - which are pretty short and usually quite intriguing - you'll be fine. I didn't have to study more than a few hours total for each of the three exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is still my favorite class to date at school. The professor was amazing and I learned so much without ever feeling too overwhelmed or stressed, and the material was very interesting.

    Course highlights:

We learned all of the basics of psychology across a wide range of topics. I always enjoyed lectures because the professor always personalized the subjects and provided videos to help better understand the material.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to lecture, take good notes, ask for help when you need it
