    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course offers great insight into how the human body works in conjunction with the brain to create movement. Excellent course for anyone interested in a basic understanding of human movement or neuroanatomy. I would also highly recommend this course for students interested in going into health related professions (i.e. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Medicine). Dr. Brown is a fantastic instructor. While this course is quite difficult, I found that I learned more in this course than any other undergraduate course because of her teaching style and ability to test conceptual knowledge rather than just facts.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about human movement and neuroanatomy. Dr. Brown's exams were tricky because she makes you think beyond just memorization. She tests you in a way that requires a deeper understanding of the subject and how it can be applied in real life. While this course was difficult, I learned a great deal. Also, the motor control lab course was a great way to apply what you have learned into real life scenarios further enhancing long term memory of the subject.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I have is to stay caught up on the course material. Everything builds off of what you already know making it harder to understand as you get farther behind. Go to Dr. Browns office hours she is very helpful.
