    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the subjects that we learn are interesting. Amanda will show clips of movies, youtube clips, and she'll also throw in a joke or two. The content is relevant, and is vital when wanting to learn about communications.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of this course was learning about Bennett's Biases, or in short, finding out that the news perhaps isn't as neutral as it could be. Moreover, the lectures on political communication in the media and sex in the media are interesting, provoking, and makes you excited to go to class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

It is very interesting if you are majoring in communications and Amanda is a very thorough professor and you can tell she is passionate about her studies. She is also very helpful when you go to her office hours.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because not only was the material interesting, but Professor Cote presented it in an exciting manner.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the visual examples that Professor Cote used to elaborate on what she was trying to explain.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to listen in lecture, and I recommend printing out the lecture slides prior to class so you can follow along instead of being focused on taking word-for-word notes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great course that teaches you the basics of communication and skills that you'll definitely need to know for higher-level communications courses. Plus, the Professor Kwak is fantastic!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me was learning that there's more than our traditional "if this..then that" hypothesis. There are other factors like mediators and moderators that affect the relationship of things and sometimes some relationships might not even be entirely true! For a relationship to hold true, three components have to be achieved–but that's for you to find out!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class! His powerpoint slides may be up on Canvas, but he has empty blank spaces that only you can fill out if you go to class. Plus hearing it from him is much more helpful.
