    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thought the course was taught really well and I actually enjoyed learning and going to lectures. Professor Kollman made the material easy to understand. He does a really good job of keeping his bias out of the information we learn. You can tell he knows what he's talking about, I would recommend this course to anyone!

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed learning about the American political system as a whole. I thought that the course was going to be more civics based but it definitely wasn't. We really analyzed all the institutions involved in government and how they work. It was super interesting!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to keep up on the reading! Not only does the professor cold call but it really did help on the exam too! I've taken some classes where you really don't need to do the reading but this class you definitely do.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class for those who are interested in learning more about the governmental system and how politics ties in with certain governmental institutions. However, there is a LOT of reading and you really need to set aside time to read each chapter and fully immerse yourself in the textbook. It is vital so that you understand exactly what the textbook is trying to teach.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were learning about the different branches more in depth than what you are taught in highschool. You get a better understanding of how all of the branches interact with one another as well as the different tasks each one performs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to read the chapter and if you don't understand something you NEED to ask questions so you don't get too far behind. Each chapter builds off the last one so if you don't understand the chapter before, you wont understand the chapter after. I learned this the hard way.
