    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was very detailed which was good but tiring. The information is very good, but you have to be ready for it. The readings are not as important, but the slides during lecture are very important.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was learning the wiring of the brain. I enjoyed learning about the memories we make every day and how those memories change due to the perception we have.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend that you study every day for this course. If the information is reviewed daily, the tests will not be very difficult. The information is very detailed at times, but if you understand the topics, you will be fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was absolutely amazing. Brandon is a fantastic, engaging, hilarious teacher who is extremely excited to teach and make the learning experience a positive one.

    Course highlights:

Learning about his specific research relating to dopamine and different species of voles and how it affects mate bonding, which mimics our own brain chemistry. This class was an introductory class to neuroscience and biopsychology and I loved every second of it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY THROUGHOUT THE TERM. After every class, review your notes. Memorize them as much as possible, because there are no easy guesses.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class if you are interested in how the brain works, especially in a more physical sense. We went through a lot of material, from specific neurotransmitters to sleep and motivation, but it was all fairly interesting.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights is definitely dissecting a sheep's brain, because you actually get to observe brain structures. I learned a lot more about how my brain performs specific functions, like sleeping and eating, and what specifically is involved in those neural pathways.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course involves a lot of memorization, so be sure to look through exam review sheets and make notecards!
