Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Michigan is great. It encompasses everything that should be in a college, and sacrifices nothing. Imagine it being like a huge private school instead of a state school.Niche is extremely easy to use and find scholarships. It is an easy way to fund your college education without much effort.

    Course highlights:

Michigan has such a huge endowment that all the facilities are incredible. There is so much to do here that you won't know where to start. Regardless of what you want to do, it is guaranteed that Michigan will occupy your niche.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's the best decision that I made. I am a nursing student and the academics are pretty intense, but definitely manageable. I have had only positive experiences with advisers and I am impressed by the quality of my professors.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Disorganized, Bare Bones – The Office of Financial Aid is somewhat disorganized (which is maybe not unexpected, given the number of students they have to process). It is not uncommon to be told one thing, only to be told later that the first person was wrong.

    Course highlights:

Additional help is available by calling or making an appointment with a financial aid counselor. For in-state students, most aid is loans and work study. I know only a handful of people who qualified for a scholarship.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The Only Downside to This School – This is an otherwise great school, but the weather here is terrible. Class run from September to April; September is gorgeous, but winter in Michigan lasts from October to May. Winters are usually very cold (typical is 0-25F) and windy, with lots of precipitation (snow, rain, sleet).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

With Michigan being such a large and reputable school, we have hundreds of recruiters come year round from the smallest of companies to the largest. The alumni network is enormous and could be very helpful when making connections and finding jobs. It is also very easy to network with all the career center activities.

    Course highlights:

There are a million things to do around campus from clubs, places to eat, events, and local Ann Arbor activities. I feel safe on campus and the campus itself is beautiful, especially north campus.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The University of Michigan has some of the best programs with the best professors. All of my professors have been extremely knowledgeable and excited to help their students learn. If you go to the career office on a good day they can sit with you for hours helping you improve your resume and online presence.
