    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it teaches you the basics of TLC, IR, and some separatory methods. The teacher taught at a very slow rate, so be prepared to be bored during the required lectures. However, this is a very GSI dependent class so each student will have a different experience.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to run a TLC, an IR, and melting point tests. These will begin to build your skills as a chemist.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Honestly, this class is all about your background knowledge. So, make sure you have a thorough knowledge of the AP chemistry curriculum before taking the course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Wonderful teacher for a class required required if you want to work in the world of chemistry. Coppola always had lots of energy and offers lecture times both early and evening time slots. He knows the material very well and has even written the currently used textbook.

    Course highlights:

You'll learn the basics of organic chemistry and some very interesting uses. Including a short lecture on how what we learned applies to cooking meth! (Yes I'm serious)

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Have a strong base knowledge and chemistry and join an SLC study group! Both helped me succeed in this course!
