Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is the perfect transition into college level Spanish. Coming from a background of high school level Spanish, this course helped me prep for an upper level course instantly. It was more self guided, but there was also a lot of help available from the professor if needed.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights were definitely the tangents that occurred in class. I learned not just about the Spanish language and grammar, but also about the culture. Associating the culture of a language with it makes it much more interesting. Discussions that took place in the class, in Spanish, had a great impact on all the students as it engaged people in interesting topics in a language they were learning.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say so not wait until the last minute to work on the assigned essays. They are already fairly easy as it is with the word count requirements not being too strenuous. Get a head start on them. Also, make sure to read the grammar sections assigned as I said it is a far more self guided course than one might expect but with aid on the side at your dispense.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very awesome and relaxed teacher, but the class was taught strangely and in a way that made it difficult. Javier, however, is an amazing teacher and worth it simply for being taught by him, but the class itself could really benefit from being reorganized.

    Course highlights:

The literature was very interesting although I didn't always understand it. Thankfully, there are English translations online, so that helped. My grammar got better although my speaking did not.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you're able to put in the time necessary to read it. SPEAK IN CLASS. Makes it so awkward if you don't.
