    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was a fantastic course, blending important bits of law with today's most pressing social issues. It really highlighted how law can be a vehicle for social change, and how it has succeeded and failed throughout history in doing this.

    Course highlights:

The lectures were fascinating. We learned about issues like women in the workplace, deterrence, tort reform, racial discrimination, gay rights, types of justice, etc. Prof Levitsky used a multi-media approach and was supremely knowledgeable and organized.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is extremely rewarding if you take it seriously. Print out the slides and take notes directly on them. Pay attention to Prof Levitsky during lectures when she is talking AND when she screens films. Use section discussion to hash out any lingering confusion; this material can get tricky. Start your papers and projects on time because they aren't easy to get through last-minute. Take your time developing your ideas. Prof Levitsky is hard to impress (which poses a good challenge!!) Good luck!
