    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I think that this course is VERY beneficial to those students that plan to attend Medical School, or students that seek to continue within the Biochemistry field.

    Course highlights:

This course focused on the many different metabolic pathways in depth (i.e. Krebs Cycle, Photosynthesis, Citric Acid Cycle) with a great chart that students can keep throughout their educational career. I also learned a lot about biochemical reactions, singular and multicellular animals, and all of the amino acids and their structures.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You should attend lecture weekly, and attend discussion sections as you will receive handy tips and hand-outs to help with the exams. This course is very difficult and requires a lot of work

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was definitely one of the most challenging I have taken at UofM but overall it really paid off. I learned a lot and feel very prepared for future pre med courses.

    Course highlights:

The professors were very knowledgable and pushed students to excel. I learned a lot of the foundations of biochemistry as well as information that is helpful in future classes. Additionally, each lecture was related to real life medical problems which made it very relevant and interesting. The cell map was very helpful for putting everything together.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go over the lecture slides before each class and read the book for more difficult concepts. Keep up with the cell map it is extremely helpful especially for exams three and four.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would reccomend it is actually a useful course and the class is very fun.

    Course highlights:

Dr. N is quite honestly one of the best professors I've had! He is very honest about what is important to understand, and he provides need-to-know guides that make studying so much easier. He honestly cares about every student, and really takes the time needed to make sure everyone's questions are answered.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Definetely take this course. The prof is hilarious and very nice. The content is pretty easy as well.
