    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class truly challenges how we were once thought to think about the text that has been read. Then when you think you can not connect anything else to the text you find you were wrong again since you can connect most book you have read.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this class was that after making all the connections having to put them into writing to help others find the connections you have made.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the assignments and leg work for future classes. The work is only there so you can improve your writing and participate in the entire discussion the next class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was one of the most challenging English courses I have ever taken, and in turn the most beneficial. I gained valuable insight into crafting a well-spoken essay, analyzing motifs in several books, and expanded my vocabulary database. I would recommend this course to any high school student.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was reading Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. Through my teacher's insight, I was able to understand this book on a deeper level and make connections to different ideas in the book. It was also, without a doubt, the best book I read that year.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read all of the books. Through and through. I made the mistake of not reading completely one book we were assigned, and it did cost me. By reading all of the book, you are investing not only in your education, but also your intellect.
