    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

At first, I thought chemistry would be extremely difficult and confusing, but as the course progressed I realized how wrong I was. Chemistry is so interesting and it was one of the rare courses that allow students to apply the material directly to their daily lives. While studying is a must for this course, it did not feel like a chore whatsoever.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this was definitively the experiments, we learned how to make homemade ice cream and elephant toothpaste. It was the goofy experiments like these that made the material much more engaging and accessible. Additionally, we learned about recent chemical and nuclear disasters and how and why it happened which again connected the course to the world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To not be intimidated by the daunting thought of chemistry, with a little studying and doing the homework, you can be really successful. The material is naturally interesting and easy to retain. It's a combination of previous math and science class put together in one. Most the material the students already know, chemistry just adds and builds upon.
