    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because while it is extremely difficult, it is one of the most fulfilling courses I have ever taken. I learned writing skills that I will keep with me forever, and these skills have remained useful to this day. In my opinion the stress that comes with the vigor of the course is very much worth the value that you get out of it.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write on a college level and above. The grading was not lenient, so I pushed myself to improve. Now I feel very confident when writing papers, and get much better feedback on essays of all types.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not give up! The course may seem discouraging at first, many people considered dropping it after a semester, but keeping with it is a wise decision. The fact that you are in there in the first place means that you have the capability to overcome the hardship and become a truly better writer.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a fun class and I felt that I really learned a lot that helped me to become a better writer.

    Course highlights:

Through this course, I feel like I can now write better papers in a shorter amount of time. This class really helped me learn how to strategize on essays and also really helped me to get my thoughts out in an organized yet fast way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When going into this class, be prepared for the timed essays. They will seem really scary at first but by the end of the year, you will look at them as though they are easy. Also be prepared to do the work because if you do it it will definitely be worth it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This two year program opens up doors into the research world most high school students could never attain. It allows us to look into real world problems that interest us and do real work to try and solve them

    Course highlights:

My AP Research project has taught me a lot about managing time and choosing a topic with a real problem for my research. I am looking at commercial food waste in the U.S. and so far teh year has been eye-opening.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Manage your time wisely, and look at good examples of research papers for context.
