    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I did not benefit from this course. I felt that I began to dislike English because of this class, when it was my favorite class in previous years. There was one project at the end of the year I truly enjoyed, and I did enjoy the journal we kept, but I don't believe it was worth all the stress.

    Course highlights:

The personal journal we kept really helped me grow as a person, and the multi-media project actually taught me more than the whole course did. I love to read, so the Invisible Man discussions were my favorite part of the class because I learned such a deeper understanding about the text.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say do not take this course, but if you are taking the course, I would say make sure you maintain your homework, if you forget one day, the work will snowball you. Also, there is not much room for creativity in this writing, so be very analytical when you write, and be quick with your writing.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The daunting task of staying up to date on extensive assignments when faced with other AP courses, is, well, daunting.

    Course highlights:

I learned a few vocabulary words and how to argue with other people.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't. Your GPA will thank you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course will teach you English composition in a creative and free thought manner. Everyone is respected and so are their opinions.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the poetry unit. Learning to be creative and analyze works deeper than surface level is something everyone should enjoy.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not give up and do your essays
