    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Gallagher believes in hands-on learning activities with animals from day one and holds informational and entertaining seminars.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course, I learned about the seven domesticated animals, their habits, bodies, and food sources.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the notes from seminar on a daily basis. The tests are specific and thorough.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

By far my favorite course of the semester. It was necessary for my major, as it is an introduction to all things animal science. Even though I didn't have a lot of previous experience, it was taught in a way that I still did exceptionally well in the class.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Gallagher does a very good job of making the information interesting. It definitely sticks! The labs were especially interesting, as most of them were hands-on with animals on campus. My favorite would be when I got to palpate a cow.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Know the information as Dr. Gallagher puts it! Often, if you try to explain it differently on exams, it will not be correct. Spelling is super important, as well.
