    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Language taught me some of the most essential English rules that have definetely improved my writing. After taking this class with this amazing teacher, writing essays and completing intricate sentences is much easier.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning sentence structures, getting extreme critique on essays, and defining new words. I gained more knowledge in all of these categories than I could have hoped for.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take AP Lang, make sure that you pay attention to the teacher when she is talking. The notes will be helpful, but the examples that Mrs. Martin gives along with the application of different writing techniques will complete your knowledge on the topic.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This teacher, though a harsh grader, has allowed me to become a greater writer by helping me analyze rhetoric while always being available to help me when I needed it. The class on its own is very rigorous, but has transformed me into a writer that is more fit for the mold of college.

    Course highlights:

I gained much knowledge since the English Language is not my strong subject. Learning from piers smarter than I am was exciting and it was fun to explore and stretch my limits of being able to learn.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make flashcards and constantly highlight the notes you write down. In the end, the work pays off.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because, although it is difficult, there is so much material learned by the end of it. The material is taught very well and it is extremely applicable.

    Course highlights:

This class was actually fun to go to. The activities we did may not have always been the most exciting but Mrs. Martin's personality and way of teaching made the class much more enjoyable.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you stay on top of your work. It is easy to get behind. It is also critical to pay close attention to detail and also, have fun with it!
