Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is not that hard and is on the lower end of the homework load as far as AP goes. Mrs Banda is a good teacher that cares about her students success and is always willing to help. The class is very interesting as you dive into the different components of literature.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was definitely the book selections. We read 3 books in class all of which were interesting and created great discussion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not go into it unless you enjoy reading and do not fall behind in your reading schedule. Always study for Greek and Latin root test and keep an open mind.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to someone who likes reading and is up for a challenge. You will learn how to look into deeper meanings an author might have written in a book as well as learning too understand more complex literature.

    Course highlights:

In this class I learned how to become a better reader and writer. I am now much better at reading complex literature such as Shakespeare. This class also helped me improve my writing by a lot and I felt very well prepared for the AP test.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In this class you MUST do all of the reading she gives to you and independent reading. Along with this, you must finish the book cards afterwards or else it will bring your grades down.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recomend this class to a person who loves reading and writing. This is a highly advanced class and if you're ready for a challenge when it comes to reading and analyzing poetry and literature then you have come to the right place.

    Course highlights:

During my time in this course, I became much better at finding hidden meanings in written passages and pieces of literature. Along with this, I became better at reading more challenging literature such as Shakespeare. It also improved my writing a lot from the beginning of the year to the end.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to pass this class, you really need to read all of the books and passages she assigns to you. If you dont, you will definitely fall behind. You NEED to read Great Expectations over the summer so you will be prepared. You must also read 2 independent books and write book cards about them. If you don't do those it will lower your grade.
