    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is very good for students who are interested in pursuing a major that requires heavy biology. This is a hard class, but it is worth it. Even if you don't do very well, it will help out during freshman biology at universities. It goes in depth in the basics of biology, including all aspects of cells.

    Course highlights:

I learned the backbone to biology. This has helped me understand biology way better than I did previously. Since I am going into a major with heavy biology, this helped me get the basics down and understand many aspects of biology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If it gets hard, don not quit! It will get better throughout the year. Even if you don't to that well, it will really help you when you get to college biology courses.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a very challenging course, but if you show up every day with the right mindset, then you will be amazed with what you will learn. I learned something new every day, and also learned how to manage my time in a college level course.

    Course highlights:

I learned everything from the basic functions of a cell to how plants create energy using light energy. My favorite part of this course was that at the beginning of every new lesson, we would undergo a new interactive lab. This lab would highlight the concepts we would need to grasp in order to conquer the course. These interactive labs were not only fun, but very informative and helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It will be a struggle, but if you stick with it, do your homework, and study you will do just fine. Make sure you prepare yourself for the weekly quiz. Also, don't put off studying until the last minute. Mr. Rhude warns you when the test will be. I recommend‚Äč studying right after he tells you, that way you have a sufficient amount of time to let the information sink in.
