    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because, even though it's a little difficult (has a lot of assignments), there are tons of extra credit opportunities. Ultimately, if turn in work on time and meet the criteria for each assignment, you'll do very well in this course.

    Course highlights:

The extra credit is a major plus for this course. I learned a lot about the history of the United States. I also learned to meet deadlines and to not slack off on school work (which can be very easy to do with online school, and always results in poor grades).

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Note that I only rated this course has "tough" because of the amount of time you have to invest in it. As I said before, if you do the work, you'll get a good grade in the class. There are quite a few assignments (when I was in this class, I had about 2-3 graded assignments, plus 2-3 quizzes or tests each week). So, I would recommend that students make sure they plan to spend 9-11 hours on this course per week (though some can move through the work a little bit faster). Study, and remember to properly cite each source in your assignments. Also, because this is online school, make sure you attend each weekly ClassConnect session live or by watching the recording - and take notes. If you do not take notes for every weekly class and submit them, your grade will drop drastically. However, if you take even more notes than what's required (students were required to take at least 20 notes per class when I was in it), you will get a lot of extra credit.
