Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a college prep course. This course helped me become a better learner, note- taker, test taker, and student overall. All of this came from my teacher Mr. Stratton, who pushed me to learn and understand the information, rather than memorizing nonsense. Also he taught me that it is okay to not understand something right away, but to always make sure to get help from someone who does understand.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me would've been the lab experiences. I enjoyed experimenting in a controlled environment where I had not just my partner and I's brains, but also my talented teachers too. I learned how to conduct lab experiments safely, and most importantly how to be a better student.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The only advice that I would give, is if you're going to take Chemistry, make sure that you dont just memorize, you learn and understand the information at hand. Also that if you're going to take the course, dont settle for average, go above and beyond and dedicate your time to becoming a better student, and making your teacher look good.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Stratton will be one of the toughest teachers you have throughout high school, but you'll leave his class wiser in more ways than just chemistry. He prepares you for college with excellent study skills and endurance.

    Course highlights:

All the labs were great! I especially enjoyed our challenge when making alcohol during organic chemistry unit.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read ahead for new chapters and that you study for any tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is more about applying chemistry to the real world. Our teacher shows us how to learn at a higher level and pushes us to think outside of the textbook.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to prepare for my college years. Yes, I did learn about chemistry, but his main focus is to get you ready for college. In each chapter he explains what a professor would be looking for if this is a college course. It really helps put into perspective if you're ready for college.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read the text book before class starts, never day dream (you'll come back to reality and never know what he's talking about), and put in 100% every class.
