    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The best two words to describe this class are, "healthy pain." It definitely requires more work than one might be used to. However, AP US History has increased my knowledge of politics and the formation of our country, as well as my ability to work hard and absorb information. It was very challenging at first, but by the end of the first term I realized I had risen to meet the standard that had been set, and it had become increasingly less difficult.

    Course highlights:

There have been a few times when each member of the class would be assigned a historical figure to represent in class. We would hold a sort of meeting of all the Progressives, or Activists, etc, and ask each other questions about the motives and intentions of the person we portrayed. It was quite enjoyable, and provided an opportunity to search in-depth about the characters I was assigned.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's best to stop seeing the class as a monster. All that you really need in order to do well in the class is to do the reading, take good notes, and pay attention.
