    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is an excellent course. Anyone who wants to know more about how America began and how it has thrived through the good and bad should take this course. Especially if you feel unsatisfied with how regular History handles things. AP US History tells history like it is. From both the widely told story of the winners and the obscure story of those who haven't a voice. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Mrs. Smith is also a very nice, very smart and cool lady. She definitely knows what she's talking about and greatly prepared me for the AP exam.

    Course highlights:

I remember the discussions and the group work most in our class and that's a very good thing about this class. It's very involved. In the work and projects as well. However, I learned a lot more about America and gained a nuanced view of our country.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

READ. THE. COURSE MATERIAL. NIGHTLY. FOR YOUR OWN SAKE. AND THE SAKE OF YOUR GRADES. I can't stress how reading heavy this course is. You get to do the fun stuff, but only after note-taking and reading quizzes. I didn't do enough of the reading, and it cost me my grade and my AP score. I passed of course, but still. Just make sure you do the reading.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though not an easy course, Mrs. Smith ensures that you have all the tools and knowledge necessary to ace your AP Exam at the end of the year.

    Course highlights:

The material was delivered in an engaging way, and taught me so much about US History that I did not know. It definitely will give you a lot of food for thought, but without imposing anyone else's conclusions on you.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! And if you find yourself having trouble with the material, go to the teacher! She is more than willing to help you out!
