Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love this class and the opportunities it presents to think more deeply about cultures and ideas.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to respect other cultures and ideas. Although something seems awful and bewildering to us, it is the status quo for other cultures.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to stay engaged and always stay on top of the reading.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Human Geography is an exciting class that offers a new perspective on the lives of those around the world! If you're interested in learning about people on a whole new level, I suggest this course. You'll learn all about different cultures and the way that they impact society.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was learning about immigration throughout the years. We did a project on different instances of immigration, and my partner and I did ours on the Vietnamese 'Boat People' who fled Vietnam after the Communist takeover. It really gives a new perspective to what we face in the world today.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a lot of vocabulary, and any Social Studies course is pretty big on dates. If you're not good with memorization it may be harder for you, but it will still be very manageable. However, it may be a bit boring if you don't enjoy learning about different people and their cultures.
