    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it really helps boost your reading and writing levels, but it had a lot of homework.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write like I never had before. It was hard, but it was worth it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework since the teacher grades harshly if your work is not on time.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class teaches you amazing essay skills which is very important when applying to college and even when you're in college. Grammar is a major thing in this class as well, but essays are the main focus.

    Course highlights:

Highlights were definitely the essay tips. I learned to have stronger intros and conclusions. My thesis statements which used to be boring and short, are now descriptive.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework, and study for vocab quizzes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is very interesting! If you love writing and love reading nonfiction, then this course is definitely for you! The teacher is amazing as well! It was one of my favorite classes I've ever taken in high school.

    Course highlights:

This course really helps you dig deep into text and really challenges your analytical skills. Your writing skills and vocabulary will also greatly improve and you'll become a master of rhetorical strategies.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't like reading books or doing summer assignments, don't bother. Only take this course if you are going to take it seriously. You will fail or not do well the entire year if you don't actually read the books or slack off on your essays.
