    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If Mrs Regan we're still at school, I would be able to say more. However, I really enjoyed AP US history. It was interesting, despite the fact that I don't like us History, and the testing style made it a lot more manageable than most history classes. If you're trying to decide between AP and honors, my suggestion is to consider if you're willing to write a pile of notes in order to learn a whole lot (and get college credit)

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about history, but mostly I learned how to manage my time and get all my work done quickly and efficiently. You really have to do the work to pass this class!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you get your work done, on time, every day. Don't slack on notes, but don't stress on essays. Get ready to write a whole lot in a short amount of time on the exam and tests!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely well taught and organized. Each night reading was required and the concepts were reinforced in class with discussion, lecture, or relevant activities. Reading quizzes were a motivation to read each night, and tests were thorough but fair.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course included the industrial revolution, reconstruction period, and cold war. I learned that the effects of history are sometimes more important than the actual facts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend following the teacher's instructions exactly, reading every night (yes every night!), and studying. Although it is a lot of work, putting in about 30 minutes of study/reading time each night will be extremely beneficial in the long run.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I really learned a lot from his inclusive and engaging teaching style. It was a very difficult course, so it takes a lot of commitment and effort. He provided a relaxed environment where everyone felt comfortable asking questions and sharing opinions.

    Course highlights:

Skills for taking (and passing) a college course. Collaborating with other students in a variety of ways. And most of all, developing a good work ethic.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate, obviously. Do the reading, and tackle the essential questions a little at a time throughout each unit.
