    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Shes a great instructor and very understanding

    Course highlights:

The most significant things I learned where mental disorders and sexual dysfunctions

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course requires a lot of focus and studying. You will need to purchase the diagnostics and statistical manual of mental disorders because it is the blue print of the entire course. Be prepared to take written test not multiple choice. Therefore, study extremely well and work in study groups its really helpful. Create a study guide for mental disorder cases, For example: "Diagnostic Criteria, Symptoms, Etiology, Triggers, Treatment" then fill in each with information about the disorder. Her test and exams are set up exactly like this. Be on time to class because she is always on time and takes attendance.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You will have a well rounded workload and learn all that you need about mental disorders

    Course highlights:

I learned over 30 mental disorders and sexual disorders. I learned how to do a mock case interview and diagnose patients with mental disorders. Also how to work with my classmates in study groups.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study using cases and do not study for a multiple choice test because they are written. You will need to get the DSM5 book and use the following study guide outline as a blueprint for mental disorders: Diagnostic Criteria, Symptoms, Etiology, Risk Factors, and Treatment. Also always read ahead in your DSM5 book because their will be discussions in class as she lectures. Take good notes and work together in study groups for the midterm/ final. Get to class on time because shes always on time and is strict on attendance. She is funny and upbeat so be ready to enjoy the course please participate.
