    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it lays the foundation for the basics of evolutionary biology. Without this class, it would be difficult to understand some of the theories and aspects of evolution and of biology itself. The class begins with smallest aspect of biology and builds on each throughout each section.

    Course highlights:

The highlights from this course was definitely the presentations on the protists as well as group work. I enjoyed the protist presentation because I have always found protists and other bacteria very interesting. I learned a lot about the disease caused by toxoplasma gondii, specifically where it lives and what it does to the human body. I really enjoyed the group work because it allowed me to learn how to compromise with someone else as well as how to accept another person's opinion and understand their point of view.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this class, ALWAYS be prepared. Watch the videos assigned to you ahead of time, preferably before class. Be sure to keep a planner on you at all times and write down any due dates given to you because sometimes it can be overwhelming because you are expected to complete so many assignments at once. Lastly, if you do not understand something go see the teacher during his office hours. If you don't understand what he is talking about the class will get harder because he builds on each topic every class.

I would recommend it, especially if its your major. It's a nice class. Just make sure you study and do not procrastinate.

I learned everything there was for biology. We did a lot of activities so you can get practice in what you are being taught.

    Advice for students:

Do the in class activities, and study the notes and fats given in class.
