    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Biochemistry is a recommended course for pre-med students. Some schools now require, too. It is crucial to know the material from this course to understand questions on the new MCAT.

    Course highlights:

The behavior of enzymes is a very important concept. You learn about competitive, noncompetitive, and uncompetitive substrate binding. The difference between these types of binding clearly explain the reaction between the enzyme and its substrate and what can occur as a result.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the material. Think critically about the consequences of the principles and how they apply to your own body. It makes you really think on a deeper level.
