Advice for students:
You need to do all of your homework and pay attention in class. Ask questions, and definitely try to read news articles containing statistics outside of class. Being able to apply what you learn to other aspects of your life and the world make you more passionate about the subject, which helps you do better in the class because you actually care to learn the material.
